📜 This Week in Indiana History 📜
The Colts Win Super Bowl XLI (2007)
In honor of Super Bowl week, we are celebrating the champions of Super Bowl XLI… the Indianapolis Colts! On Feb. 4, 2007, the Colts won the first (and so far only) Super Bowl since the team moved to Indianapolis in the 1980s.
Led by Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning, the Colts defeated the Chicago Bears 29-17 in the pouring down Miami rain to win. It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows though. The Bears’ return specialist Devin Hester, a Hall of Fame inductee as well, ran back the opening kickoff to put the Bears on the board first. However, the Colts’ defense forced five turnovers and Indianapolis held on to win.
The victory was a defining moment for the franchise and the state. Manning earned Super Bowl MVP honors, cementing himself as one of the greatest quarterbacks ever, and the Hoosier State got a Vince Lombardi Trophy in a moment they will never forget.

Who to Cheer for in Super Bowl LX
It’s safe to say most Colts fans won’t be cheering for New England on Sunday, and it’s hard to imagine that many Seahawks fans live in Indiana either. But for fans of Indiana University and the University of Notre Dame, there are four players to watch with Indiana ties.
Get Indiana Spoof Commercial
Don’t care about Super Bowl LX itself? How about the commercials then? The average price for a 60-second Super Bowl LX commercial is a cool $8 million, and here’s how Get Indiana would spend it. Oh, and if you’re looking to heat up your Super Bowl Sunday, bring this to the party.

🎙 On today's show I sat down with three of the five owners of Glover's Ice Cream, Shan Sheridan, David Meek, and Tony Reyes. Glover's Ice Cream is an Indiana-based company that was founded in 1925 by Foster Glover.
Initially selling ice cream sandwiches on passenger trains in Frankfort, the business has grown to become one of Indiana's last independent ice cream manufacturers.
We discuss the company's legacy, its challenges, and the vision for the company's growth beyond its centennial celebration. Shan, David, and Tony also share insights on the ice cream-making process, the importance of maintaining local business traditions, and the impact of community support in keeping the brand alive.
