THE HISTORY OF CLARK COUNTY AND SELLERSBURG
Clark County was founded in 1801 and was developed in large part because of its southeast border being the Ohio River and railroads. Sellersburg was founded 45 years later, although it was spelled with an āhā on the end of it for decades. With or without the consonant, Sellersburg has been thriving for almost 180 years. š¤
FEELINā FUZZY
The Covered Bridge Golf Club is rated as the No. 17 public course in Indiana according to GolfPass. It was founded in 1994 by local PGA golfer Fuzzy Zoeller who graduated from nearby New Albany High School, won the 1979 Masters ā his first time playing in the historic event ā and also claimed the 1984 U.S. Open after an 18-hole playoff against Greg Norman. Fuzzy knows his golf, and his 18-hole public course isnāt just par for the course⦠with over 300 Google reviews coming in at 4.5 stars, thatās a birdie on our scorecard. š

The Fireside Bar & Grill is known for its Sellersburger, a bison burger topped with sautĆ©ed onions, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing on grilled rye bread. Youāre not not going to have a burger named after the town, and youāre certainly not not going to order it if you find yourself at Fireside. š

SILVER CREEK HIGH SCHOOL ON THE RISE
Silver Creek High School is in the midst of a major renovation and expansion that will make the public school a state-of-the-art high school in Indiana. Originally built in the 1960s, the expansion will increase the schoolās student capacity from 550 to 1,200. The project ā estimated to cost nearly $100 million ā includes relocation and upgrades to the football, baseball, and softball fields, an addition of a second story to the existing school, new auditorium, student union, and common spaces for students to collaborate, communicate, and learn. š

Trey Kaufman-Renn, who was named All-Big Ten First Team earlier this week for the Purdue Boilermakers as the teamās leading scorer, guided Silver Creek High School to IHSAA 3A state championships in 2019 and 2021 and is the schoolās all-time points leader (1,832)
